Alejandro Simón Partal (Estepona, Málaga, 1983) holds a doctorate in Hispanic philology. Simón Partal has taught at universities in France, the Czech Republic and Spain. He is the author of essays, plays, and five poetry collections that have received international awards such as the Arcipreste de Hita Prize and the Hermanos Argensola Prize, and which were compiled in Ese de anoche (Aguilar, 2023). With his novel La parcela (Caballo de Troya, 2021), Simón Partal won the Cálamo Prize “Otra Mirada.” La planta baja. Diario de rodaje (Plaza and Janés, 2024) is his most recent book. He currently directs the Biblioteca de Culturas Contemporáneas in Estepona. This event is free and open to the public. It is presented by the Department of World Languages, Literatures and Cultures at Le Moyne College, with the support of its Lecturers Committee, in collaboration with the Cultural Office of the Embassy of Spain in Washington, D.C., as part of its program Spain Writes, America Reads, in collaboration with Acción Cultu
