How fascinating that two such completely different musical voices shared the same origin story. The composers knew each other, and Rachmaninoff even attended the premiere of Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue. In this inspiring musical mash-up of a concert, we present masterpieces by these two geniuses, both of which premiered in New York.
