An Afternoon with Gene Luen Yang - In Partnership with the University of Arkansas College of Education and Health Professions

Join us for a lively and engaging talk by award-winning graphic novelist Gene Luen Yang. Yang is the author such acclaimed young adult graphic novels as American Born Chinese (which was adapted into a Disney+ television series), Dragon Hoops, and Lunar New Year Love Story. Yang will discuss his artistic journey, his experiences as a high school teacher, and how comic books help readers find new worlds of understanding. The talk will take place in the Event Center. Doors open at 2:30, and the talk will begin at 3:00 pm. There will be a book-signing session after the talk. This event is free and open to all. Registration is encouraged (to let us know you plan to come and to receive event reminders) but not required.
