Alopecia Areata Workshop

Community Room. Miosotys Santiago, founder of Exemplify to Edify, LLC, will be having Jennifer Hoffman, Pfizer Alopecia Areata Community Navigator for NYS/New England, joining her to facilitate an informative workshop focused on Alopecia Areata, education, awareness, and reducing the stigma surrounding hair loss. We especially want to encourage local barbers and hairstylists to attend, as they are often in a unique position to recognize changes in their clients' hair and scalp and can benefit from learning more about Alopecia Areata. We also welcome local residents living with Alopecia Areata, their families, caregivers, community organizations, and anyone interested in learning more. Our goal is to create a welcoming community conversation where people can become better informed, ask questions, hear from those impacted, and help us remove some of the stigma associated with Alopecia Areata.
