About this event

Meeting Rooms A&B. How are children using AI, and how might it affect their learning and development? Join Casey Fiesler, University of Colorado Boulder professor and technology ethicist, to explore how AI is showing up in children's lives and what parents and educators should know as these tools become more common. Learn about current AI technologies and how they work, how kids are using AI, potential impacts on learning and social skills, and ways to support children in navigating AI tools. Dr. Fiesler will give a one-hour presentation followed by a Q&A. American Sign Language interpretation will be provided, and light refreshments will be served. For parents, caregivers, educators and those who work with kids and tweens ages 5–12. Casey Fiesler is the William R. Payden Endowed Professor and associate professor of information science at CU Boulder. Her research has been covered in publications from The New York Times to Teen Vogue.
