Ag Prepared Public Speaking & Discussion Meet

Sponsored by: Prepared Public Speaking Contest- Targeting personal communication skills, message formation, and oral delivery. Students part of a Montgomery County school will research an agricultural topic, prepare a speech, and deliver the speech to a panel of judges, who will then ask questions. Discussion Meet/Debate- Targeting critical thinking skills and the ability to present an effective case related to a topic. Students part of a Montgomery County school learn from agricultural experts on a topic, and then in groups of four, work to discuss the topic and generate potential solutions.
