About this event

Have you heard of Forest Bathing? Join certified Forest Bathing Guide **Jonathan from The Art of Noticing** for a quiet, unhurried experience in San Dieguito County Park. We’ll start with a simple introduction to Forest Bathing, what it is, how it works, and the benefits it can offer. Then we’ll take a slow walk through coastal sage scrub and give ourselves time to notice small details in the landscape. Birds moving through the brush, wildflowers, shifting light, textures, and whatever else the day brings. The walk is about three quarters of a mile on a dirt trail at an easy pace with frequent pauses. **Please sign up through Acuity** -[https://theartofnoticingsandiego.as.me/meetup](https://theartofnoticingsandiego.as.me/meetup) and complete the short waiver for The Art of Noticing. This helps me prepare for the group and makes sure you receive the full event details, maps, and what to bring. This gathering is for anyone who enjoys calm time outdoors and wants to connect with others who feel the same. We’ll move slowly, breathe deeply, and give ourselves room to settle. We’ll end with a short wind down meditation to help you carry some of the calm into the rest of your week. **Please bring:** * A towel or small chair to sit on if you prefer your own setup. I will also bring chairs. * A hat * Water * A jacket * Sunscreen * A journal if you like to write The walk is gentle, though there are a few uneven sections and short hills. If you’re interested in a nature bathing experience without a walk, feel free to message Jonathan. Questions are welcome. **More about Forest Bathing:** Forest Bathing is simply spending time outdoors with an open, curious attitude. We slow down, notice what’s around us, and let the natural world meet us as we are. Often something small and meaningful shows up. Not dramatic, just a moment you’re glad you were there for. Join us twice monthly to deepen your connection with the park’s changing seasons.
