Wednesdays, November 4 - December 9, 2026 | 5:30 - 8:30P | 6 sessions | $350 This technique-building class focuses on understanding methods for throwing pottery off the hump. Combining methods for working with large and small volumes of clay at once, learning to throw off the hump can expand the range of forms available to most potters. Designed to help improve production speed, these techniques will also help you improve your consistency and accuracy when throwing forms on the wheel. Examine techniques for functional forms like cups, bowls, and plates, but will also look at effective ways for producing lids and other accessory forms. Supplies: Clay is not included with registration and must be purchased through the Supply Shop. Open Studio: Open Studio is included with registration for the duration of your class.
