Adulting 101 For Teens – Get a Head Start: Exploring Internships (ages 13-18)

Youth Program Space. Curious about internships and how they can help you prepare for your future? Learn what internships are, why they matter, and what you can do during high school to become a strong candidate. The session will also provide an overview of the City of Round Rock’s summer internship program, including how to apply and the application timeline. The program will conclude with a panel discussion and Q&A featuring former City interns who will share their experiences and advice. Speaker Bio: Bethany Cathey works in Organizational Development for the City of Round Rock, where she supports employee leadership development initiatives across city departments. She has more than 17 years of experience in education, training and development, instructional design, and coaching, including previous roles with NASA's internship program, Dell Technologies, and working in public education. Bethany holds a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction and is an ICF Associate Certified Coach and Certified Professional Co-Active Coach. Adulting 101 programs are designed to help teens develop life skills and knowledge to transition to adulthood. Join us in the Youth services Program Space on the 2nd floor.
