Join us for this two-week Moth-style storytelling workshop led by Michigan Moth storyteller David Scott Smith, who will teach us the elements of storytelling under the theme "Surprised by Joy." To prepare, think of a time when you experienced unexpected joy ... a time when you felt blessed, fortunate, or caught off guard ... or a time that looked bleak until a turn of events proved otherwise. This workshop and feedback session is in preparation for our annual storytelling event at Bowerman's on 8th on Thursday, October 22, 6-8 PM. Even if you don't plan to tell a story at that event, come to the workshops. You'll learn how to share stories of your wild and precious life in surprising new ways.
