Directed by Brittany King, Act One: Standards & Survival is an immersive, one-woman show starring formally trained actress and vocalist Marlo Vashti. Far from a standard tribute concert, Marlo breathes life into the spirits of Billie Holiday, Nina Simone, and Ella Fitzgerald, fully embodying each legendary figure on stage. Accompanied by a live jazz band, experience seamless transitions between these iconic women's stories, bringing their distinct voices, physicalities, and classic music to the stage with theatrical precision.
