Saturday, Sept. 26, 2026 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Ready, set, play! Celebrate ACM and Nickelodeon’s Our World: Worldwide Day of Play with a full day of messy experiments, creative challenges, active adventures and live science fun throughout the Museum. Sprouting STEM Early Childhood Learning Lab Oobleck and Elephant Toothpaste Mix, fizz, bubble and squish your way through gooey STEM experiments designed to spark curiosity through play. Bubble Slime Painting Combine art and science by making colorful, puffy paint from cornstarch, warm water and soap. Discovery Spot Coding Dance Parties Move, groove and explore the basics of coding through music, movement and hands-on LEGO® DUPLO® play. Everglades Soil Investigations Dig, sift and investigate Everglades peat using science tools to uncover hidden treasures beneath your feet. Makerspace Catapult Chaos Design and build catapults and launchers from upcycled materials, then test them by flinging slime, mud or paint at the Slime Wall. Science Bytes Slime Making Mix and experiment with different ingredients to create slime with the perfect stretch, squish and texture. Shows and Experiences Animal Encounter Meet some of the animal ambassadors that call the Museum home. Panther Prowl Search for virtual panthers throughout the Museum in an augmented reality adventure. KaBoom Show Discover the states of matter and watch chemistry transform the world around us during this action-packed live science show. Come ready to move, make, experiment and get a little messy!
