ACCESS of Wilmington, Inc. will host its 2nd Annual Sounds of Freedom Benefit Gala Concert on Friday, September 25, 2026, from 7 to 11 p.m. at the historic Brooklyn Arts Center, located at 516 North 4th Street in Wilmington. The evening will feature a headlining acoustic set from Nashville recording artist Belles, with special guest opener Folkstone String Band. This year’s gala carries special significance: following her Grand Ole Opry debut, Belles will perform “Son of Jolene,” her duet with the late country music icon Dolly Parton — her final recording. In addition to live music, guests will enjoy a silent auction, food, and libations in a celebration that supports Project SOAR, ACCESS of Wilmington’s adapted sports and recreation program, as it celebrates its 10th anniversary. Proceeds from the gala will directly benefit Project SOAR programs for Veterans with disabilities and first responders, recognizing the critical role adapted sports, recreation, and community play in healing and quality of life. “Project SOAR was built on the belief that all veterans and first responders deserve the chance to heal, connect, and thrive through sport and recreation,” said Paula Crozier, Executive Director of ACCESS of Wilmington. “As we celebrate ten years of this program, we’re honored to bring Belles to Wilmington for an evening that celebrates music, community, and the memory of Dolly Parton, whose generosity inspired so many.” Tickets are ON SALE NOW for Sounds of Freedom!
