Doors open at 6:00 PM for Dinner and Drink Service. “No Way Around It” Album Release with 6 Original Compositions Saxophonist/Composer Aaron Hedenstrom celebrates the release of a new big band album with a bold and exciting performance featuring members of the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire’s internationally acclaimed Jazz Ensembles. Hedenstrom has toured, performed, and composed for groups and venues internationally, and is bringing this project back to his hometown roots in the Twin Cities. The album features UW Eau Claire’s Jazz Ensemble I and features international performing artists John Raymond, Drew Zaremba, Daniel Pardo, and David Feily. The album has something for everyone, from funky beats to smooth melodies and swinging grooves. Join the celebration and become a part of the magic. Composer/Saxophonist Aaron Hedenstrom is a contemporary saxophonist/composer whose sensibilities span from modern groove-based music to classical music and many sounds in-between. His musical collaborations have spanned across styles from indie artist S. Carey to eclectic groups like The New Standards, to acclaimed jazz artists such as saxophonist Grace Kelly, vibraphonist Stefon Harris, vocalist Diane Shuur and saxophonist Bob Reynolds. Aaron’s compositions and arrangements have been played worldwide by ensembles including the SFJazz High School All-Stars, Texas All-State Jazz Ensemble, UNT One Clock Lab Band, TPO Taiwan, Fort Worth Symphony, and more. “Hedenstrom shines not only as a musician, but as a first-rate composer.
