About this event
TU Meeting Room, Tuckahoe Area Library. Many older adults are concerned about falling and restricting their activities. A Matter of Balance guides participants through this award-winning, evidence-based program designed to help older adults reduce their risk of falling and increase their physical activity. Registration for this program series will include enrollment for eight consecutive Wednesday mornings. Sessions will include fall risk evaluations, group discussions, education, problem-solving strategies, and physical activities. Presented by Amanda Rudderman, Fall Prevention Coordinator at VCU Medical Center. Participants will be required to sign a waiver. Waivers will be sent to all registrants ahead of the event.
