What if, for one evening, you refused to rush? Join the Society for Aesthetic Loitering for an unhurried summer promenade through one of Portland's most beautiful public spaces. We'll wander the terraces and fountains, admire the architecture, notice the light, admire one another's wonderfully unnecessary outfits, and practice the nearly forgotten art of lingering. Dress with intention. Vintage, avant-garde, glamorous, thrifted, eccentric, elegant, theatrical—or simply wear something that delights you. There is no fitness goal. No networking agenda. No pressure to perform. Just pleasant company, slow strolling, conversation, people-watching, and the radical notion that beauty deserves our attention. Whether you come alone or bring a friend, you'll find kind, curious people who believe life is richer when we occasionally stop trying to optimize it.
