A Friendly Introduction to Watercolor Painting for Adults

Room 201A. Painting by Melissa Houle Have you ever wanted to learn watercolor painting, but felt too intimidated to get started? Here’s a secret--any new art medium you try will mean learning some new techniques. I’ve been painting with watercolors for thirty years, and I want to help people discover how beautiful watercolors can be, and how satisfying it is to create a painting from start to finish. Learning some of the basic watercolor techniques will help you succeed and build your confidence as a painter. It’s also okay to make mistakes while you learn, because every new painter does. All art materials and instruction will be provided. There will be room for 16 adults on a first come, first served basis. Sponsored by The Friends of the Cupertino Library.
