About this event

You are invited to a guided tour of our new exhibition, “Dancing for Our Tribe.” A gallery of nearly life-sized portraits of contemporary Potawatomi people, Sharon Hoogstraten (photographer and member of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation) along with Gabriel Cleveland (Ho-Chonk artist and dancer) will share stories of these Native people and their determination to save tradition while showing that “WE ARE STILL HERE.” At 6:00 PM, Sharon will give a presentation detailing the Potawatomi history of the land we stand on, and the significance of this beautiful regalia.
