A Classical Framework for Dequantizing Quantum Machine Learning

For our first event, Paul Pham will present Ewin Tang's paper, "A Classical Framework for Dequantizing Quantum Machine Learning" https://arxiv.org/abs/1807.04271. We will include a background tutorial on quantum computing and the related problem of collaborative filtering ("the Netflix prize"). Reading the paper beforehand is encouraged but not necessary.
