80s ROCK CAMP The 80s brought us a wave of new sounds and music genres, and produced hits that still rock the airwaves today. In this music camp, we’ll perform hits from artists like Billy Idol, Devo, Cyndi Lauper, Van Halen, Flock of Seagulls, and many more. Monday through Friday will be spent learning and practicing 80s songs, all culminating in a live performance. Great for students 10-17 years of age who have had some previous instruction. WEEKLY SCHEDULE Camp runs Monday - Wednesday, 9am - 3pm each day Drop off is no earlier than 9:00am each day Pick up is no later than 3:30pm each day Each day consists of rehearsals, practice time and fun music-based games and activities Wednesday PERFORMANCE On Wednesday, campers will put on a show for family and friends and perform the songs they’ve been working on all week. The show will take place at the school at 2pm. WHAT TO EXPECT Students can expect an exciting and educational week of learning music taught by our talented camp instructors. Each day, students will be asked to bring lunch, snacks, water, and hearing protection. At School of Rock, we are committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment for all campers. To help us maintain this space, we ask parents to avoid packing any nut products in lunches or snacks. We also prohibit any toy or real weapons from being brought to camp. WHAT TO BRING Campers must bring their own (NUT-FREE) lunch, snacks and water bottle each day. Please make sure your student wears clothing and footwear suitable and approprate for indoor activity and summer camp. Students are expected to bring their own instruments needed for the duration of the camp. We can supply instruments if needed. Please note that campers may rotate through and play different instruments throughout the camp, depending on the needs of the group.
