Join us for the 5th Annual Fiesta at High Meadows Branch Library, a vibrant celebration of Latino culture and community! This free, family-friendly event brings together storytelling, live music, folk art, food, activities, and much more for an unforgettable afternoon. Meet children's authors Juliana Javierre and Xavier Garza, presented by Arte Público Press, for stories, conversation, and book signings. . Free copies of their books will be available for attendees while supplies last, with opportunities to have your book signed by the authors. Enjoy powerhouse live music from mariachi singer Eduardo Treviño, known for his appearance on America’s Got Talent and his time with legendary group La Mafia, along with more music and performances throughout the day. The celebration will also feature a dazzling lowrider car display, roaming clowns, and hands-on activities including colorful Alebrije puppet crafting and traditional Paper Arpilleras art-making. Guests can enjoy food and festive treats, including popcorn and snow cones, plus even more special appearances, crafts, activities, and surprises throughout the afternoon. And don't leave early! We'll close out Fiesta with the high-flying excitement of lucha libre! Six luchadores will take to the ring for three action-packed matches, complete with a DJ and bilingual host to keep the crowd cheering.
