Format and Rules: 1.A team will consist of a minimum of three (3) members with a maximum of five (5) members from the same parish. There will be one di-vision for all ages with a maximum of two teams per parish. 2.Teams will compete in head to head matches. 3.Matches will last until one team reaches 200 points or ten minutes or both. The contest will be set up in a tournament style format-single elimination. 4.Questions for the Quiz Bowl will come from 4-H Project Books for Beef, Dairy, Poultry, Sheep, Swine and Goats. 5.NO study questions will be distributed. 6.Questions used will come from those submitted by parishes and others submitted by Livestock Specialists. 7.Correct answers will receive 20 points, incorrect will receive minus10 points. 8.Bonus questions will be provided to teams where at least 3 different members have answered a question correctly. Teams can discuss before answering bonus question. 9.Team members may buzz in at any time, at which time the reader will stop reading the question. If the team answers incorrectly, threader may complete the question for the other team at which time they can decide if they want to buzz in. 10.Teams will have 5 seconds to buzz in after a question is read be-fore moderator will move into the next question. 11.Teams must be registered by October 9, 2026. Awards: State winning team receives a team trophy plus $75. Team members receive individual medals. Second place winning team receives a team trophy and $25. Team members receive individual ribbons.
