About this event
Andrew Holter is a historian and critic and the editor of Going Around: Selected Journalism by Murray Kempton, published by Seven Stories Press in 2025. His writing on history, literature, and art has appeared in The Baffler, Boston Review, The Guardian, The Nation, The Progressive, Rolling Stone, The Times Literary Supplement, and other publications. He is a former contributor to Baltimore City Paper, and his archival research has been featured in projects including the documentary Rat Film (20160, directed by Theo Anthony, and the exhibition Unscripted Moments: The Life and Photography of Joseph Kohl (2017), at the Maryland Center for History and Culture. He holds B.A. and M.A. degrees from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and a Ph.D. in History from Northwestern University.
