2026 Docent Training
Docents use their knowledge to lead public tours and specialty topic programs. Lessons covered during the Docent training range from natural science, ethnobotany, and insights on interacting with visitors. The Santa Fe Botanical Garden begins its 2026 season of docent training on Saturday, April 4. This multi-session training will take place in the Botanical Garden in-person on four consecutive Saturdays through April 25th. This training is only offered once a year, so don’t miss out! If you are not a current volunteer you must have filled out a New Volunteer Application form, and have attended Volunteer Orientation in order to be a Docent Volunteer.
