ANDY WELD (Washington, DC) Andy’s solo show takes place in a single evening, with the audience living the high, well, medium, life, of a night in an economy hotel, seeing the comings and goings of the hotel as a hurricane hits, ramping up the urgency and energy of the show as each sketch passes. Between each live sketch, videos presented as a hotel room TV provide updates to the audience on the impending natural disaster creating a loose continuity between the sketches. Andy Weld brings 17 years of sketch comedy experience to his first ever solo show. With training from UCB, Groundlings and Second City and performances around the US and Canada at festivals like Sketchfest Seattle, Toronto Sketchfest and San Francisco Sketchfest, Andy is taking everything he has learned and turning it into one fabulous night of ridiculous situations that push characters to their limits.
