About this event
Hailing from Ireland’s historic County Waterford, Danú are among the truly great performers of traditional Irish music in the world today. Their ensemble approach is often likened to chamber music in its interplay and sensitivity, and their virtuosity and vivacity capture all the joy and exuberance of Irish culture. “A vibrant mix of instrumental virtuosity, energy, and empathy that defines great ensembles.” The Washington Post Taking us through the ancient emotional landscape of Irish music known as the Three Noble Strains — the joyful dance of Geantraí (reels, jigs and lively tunes), the deep expressive beauty of Goltraí (laments and songs of longing), and the soothing lyricism of Suantraí (slow airs and reflective melodies), this will be a St. Patrick’s celebration not to be missed!
