About this event

2000 Meters to Andriivka Film Screening and Post-Screening Conversation In 2000 Meters to Andriivka, Academy Award–winning Ukrainian filmmaker and Pulitzer Prize–winning journalist Mstyslav Chernov follows a Ukrainian platoon tasked with crossing a heavily fortified stretch of forest to retake the village of Andriivka during Ukraine’s 2023 counteroffensive. A lawyer by training and former parliamentary adviser, he now works on veterans’ reintegration, civic leadership, and support for Ukrainians affected by the war. Sevgil Musaieva is Editor-in-Chief of Ukrainska Pravda, one of Ukraine’s leading independent news organizations, and a 2026 Yale World Fellow. A Ukrainian journalist of Crimean Tatar origin, she has led Ukrainska Pravda through a period of war in which its journalists have continued reporting from the…
