1st Solar Eclipse Social @Jupiter Berkeley

First meetup for solar eclipse enthusiasts and lunarly curious people! Come chat about our solar system and the Moon’s talent for taking the light out of our eyes, on occasion. We’ll swap eclipse stories and talk about the “Eclipse of the Century” on 2 August 2027, visible from parts of southern Spain and northern Morocco. Come with questions, travel plans, or just a healthy curiosity about why people cross continents to stand in the dark and witness the Sun's beautiful corona. No astronomy knowledge required. Just haul your ass over for drinks, food, and jokes stupider than Jupiter (close to Downtown Berkeley BART). Come curious, leave with plans for those sweet 279 seconds when daylight fades, stars appear, and it's just you, me, and everyone letting out a collective gasp. Free to attend; everyone buys their own food and drinks. Let's make friends!
