About this event
A searing examination of America’s most enduring contradiction: Hunger in the land of great abundance. As a foreign correspondent for The Wall Street Journal, Roger Thurow wrote about the devastating impact of food crises in some of the world’s poorest places. Now, in Abiding Hunger, he brings that experience home to confront a crisis hiding in plain sight. How can nearly 50 million Americans go hungry in the wealthiest, mightiest, most abundant country on earth?
