Ventura Cove Open Water Swimming

Join Our Weekly Coached Open Water Swim – Ventura Cove Welcome to the weekly One with the Ocean community swim at Ventura Cove! Ventura Cove Swim Masters, a registered U.S. Masters Swimming (USMS) Club, dedicated to supporting swimmers of all levels from and led by two USMS Certified Coaches from Swim Openwater Waters . We meet in the Ventura Cove Parking Lot between the Lifeguard Tower and Bathrooms at 6:50am. Our Masters-style coached workout runs from 7:00 to 8:00am, offering structure and support whether you're an Olympian, a Navy SEAL, or just getting started with open water swimming. Ideally, you should be able to swim 400 yards/meters in a pool without stopping, but we're happy to accommodate all abilities — just let us know your experience when you arrive! NOTE: Attendance may look low online — don't worry! We manage sign-ups through another app. Just show up and we’ll get you set up! All participants must sign a liability waiver before joining. What to bring: * Swimwear * Goggles * Brightly-colored swim cap (if you have one) * Wetsuit (optional – based on personal preference) Water temperatures range from mid-50s°F in winter to mid-70s°F in summer. Most people are comfortable swimming without a wetsuit from Memorial Day through late September, but if you're unsure, come out and we'll help you decide! After the swim, we head over to Draft South Mission for coffee and community — come join us if you're not rushing off to work.
