The Nights Are Quiet in Tehran, by Shida Bazyar ** ONLINE MEETING ** at Green Line Cafe in Philadelphia, PA on Saturday, August 8, 2026.
*The Nights Are Quiet In Tehran* is the saga of a revolutionary Iranian family who find they must flee to West Germany in the revolution's aftermath. Moving from Tehran in 1979 through Germany in the 1980s and back to Iran in the 1990s and 2000s, the book traces one family’s journey of exile, return, and the shifting identities that come with displacement. Each chapter gives voice to a different family member, creating a layered portrait of love, fear, resilience, and cultural loss.
