Start Your Day with Me | Gene Reid Park Loop & Neighborhood Walk

Start your day with a brisk walk with me! Head out at 7:15am on Thursdays for this approximately 2.5-mile walk around and thru the park. The traffic is a little heavy that time of the morning for dogs, so we can cut through the park and into the neighborhood. It is an interesting walk. The trail is paved and inside the park. Generally considered easy, it takes an average of 36 min to complete. The park has a lot of interesting things to look at, depending on your schedule, we could take more time to explore a little more of the park off the trail. We meet at the entrance on Country Club and Concert - Ramada 17 located the the right of that entrance. I drive a white Jeep Wrangler (4-door) with a red Samaritans bumper sticker so look out for me! This event is perfect for those over 50 looking to stay active, add to your step goals and meet like-minded individuals while taking in the sights. There are homeless but they stay to themselves. Joel, a homeless young man who is normally at that Ramada will point you in the direction we went, if you are late.
