Ruck Marching in Bremerton

Hi everybody! Our hike will have three distance options available: 2 miles, 5.25 miles, or 7.25 miles. The route shown on the Komoot map below is in reverse order. We will be walking in a circuit and finishing where we started. Option A: about 2 miles. Starting at WinCo, going north on Shorewood Dr. until we hit the fence for the Navy installation, and then back to WinCo. Option B: about 5.25 miles. Starting at WinCo, going southeast down Arsenal Ave, turning south on National Ave., turning east when we hit Charleston Beach Blvd until it turns into Callow, and then we will turn to the west (left) when we hit Kitsap Way/6th St. Option C: do both and get the full 7.25 miles. If you are wearing brand new gear (boots/ruck sack/backpack), or you aren't very comfortable going longer distances, feel free to only do the 2-mile option, or do this without any weight. What to bring with you: Water (duh), snacks, a first-aid kit for your feet (moleskin or athletic tape), comfortable clothes for exercising, boots or running shoes, a fitness tracker/watch, headphones, a cellphone, and maybe a little money if you want. I'll be bringing all of the above with me, and a larger first-aid kit as part of a rucksack weighing in at 30 lbs. If you feel comfortable bringing more weight, feel free.
