Panola Mountain To Lyons Farm Sunday Hike - 6 Mile Out/Back

Trail Description: Join us for a fun hike at Panola Mountain State Park, located near Stockbridge, GA. Our 6ish-mile hike will take us on a paved path, over the damn out to Lyons farm, then return on the same path. The trail is easy and we will maintain a moderate pace. Beginners are welcome, but if you aren't used to doing 5+ miles at around 2.5 miles per hour, please prepare by doing some park walks until you feel comfortable at that pace. Difficulty Level: Easy/Moderate (paved nature trail, may include moderate elevation gain). Distance: 5+ Miles Estimated Duration: 3 Hours Pace: Moderate, please be able to keep up with the group. Meeting Location: Meet at the Panola Mountain State Park archery range at 5015 Flat Bridge Road SW Stockbridge, GA 30281 (Pin- 33.63205, -84.14637) Start Time: 9:00 AM sharp Parking Info: $10 parking. Usually take cash on-site, might have a QR code. I will confirm. Dog Policy: Dogs must be leashed and under owner control at all times. Event Guidelines * We will begin promptly at the listed time. Please arrive 5-10 minutes early so we can start together. * This group is for people ages 18 and over who are Meetup members, and each person may bring up to one adult guest. * Bring water, snacks, and any gear you may need (e.g., trekking poles, flashlight, rain gear). * We welcome beginners. But if you are new to hiking or unsure if you can maintain the listed pace and duration, please do some prep walks in advance.
