Free 4-week Computer Fundamentals course

Free 4-week-long Computer Fundamentals course starts on the first Wednesday of the month at 10 AM and continues over the following three Wednesdays in that month. Classes are 90 minutes long. Course is at the Fred Lippman Multi-Purpose Center on Polk St in Hollywood, FL. The classroom in the Fred Lippman center is room #9 (ask the lady at the front for directions, it's down the hall to the right of the entrance). Course covers computer basics such as the parts of a computer, bits and bytes, Megabytes and Gigabytes, file types, files and folders, operating systems, the internet, URLs, cybersecurity, email, social media, and even AI. Free non-disabled parking is not provided but there is a paid parking garage across the street. Edit 3: You do not need to bring your own computer to class unless you want to, but do bring your own writing utensil and paper to take notes. We cover information that is true and pertinent to all computers in general (including smartphones, which are a type of computer), but if you want one-on-one assistance with your device in particular, come into office hours Saturdays at 1:30 PM with your personal device in hand.
