Chicago Full Moon Fire Jam - South of Foster Beach at Margate Fieldhouse in Chicago, IL on Wednesday, July 29, 2026.
The Full Moon Fire Jam is a terrific tradition on Foster Beach! You can sit and watch the fire dancers and dance in the drum circle! We will meet at 7:00 in the parking lot behind the Margate Fieldhouse, then walk to the event together. Don't be late - it will be hard to find our group in the crowd. Feel free to bring along your family or friends! Bring picnic blankets and food/snacks/water. No alcohol, please. READ the following BEFORE you sign up: Since this is a festival freeform event and not a concert, we will not leave as a group. *People can head back home on their own,* or with a buddy, when they are ready. (Some people will not want to stay out very late at night, and some might stay till the last flaming torch is extinguished!) *Also note: There are limited porta-potties and the lines get very long.* https://www.fullmoonjam.org "The Full Moon Jams are a volunteer-run, not-for-profit, free-to-attend performance gathering that takes place once a month throughout the summer between sunset and 10pm. The Jam brings together artists and dancers by providing a space for fire performers and drummers to gather and share their creative gifts on the beautiful shores of Lake Michigan. Set to the percussive beats of local musicians under a full moon, this unique theatrical event is truly a marvel to behold. "As always, the Jams are family-friendly and there is no alcohol, illegal substances, open flames, fireworks, flash photography, lasers or drones permitted per Chicago Park District laws." I actually recommend driving to this event, so it's easier to get home. Transit options: #146 to Marine and Ainslie or #92 or #81 to Marine Drive
