SERGER ORIENTATION: Cathy Georgerian will be teaching this special class this month. The class begins with serger fundamentals, making it perfect for beginners while offering a solid refresher for experienced sewists. She will cover serger anatomy and identify the parts to your serger. Every serger needs essential tools, and tools that are nice to have in your tool kit. We’ll help you conquer the fear of threading and leave with confidence. Supplies: Serger and power cord Extension cord, only if you have one Serger thread 4 distinctive different colors Yellow, Green, Blue, Red you get the idea General serger supplies and notions Tool kit included with your serger and other general sewing supplies Don’t forger scissors, small clippers are fine Your serger manual- Most manuals can be found and printed out online for free 3-Ring Binder to hold sewing samples Paper and pen Clear 3-ring sleeves to hold sewing samples in binder Fabric cut into strips for samples. (Muslin, Tule, Jersey, etc.…) Camera Bring a drink and some refreshments will be provided. We probably won't have time for show and tell this month. Lake Arbor Community Room is located in the Arvada Police Substation at 8110 Vance Dr. , 80003. Parking is easy and there are no stairs. Hope to see you there!
