Art in the Park - Cottonwood Creek Park and Xeriscape Garden

Art and Nature, a fun and relaxing combination. Come join us as we visit parks around the Colorado Springs area to create art. Bring your medium of choice to do some sketching, coloring, botanical studies, plein air painting, or even photography. Picnic tables and benches are not always available, so come prepared with an easel, chair, or blanket to work from. And of course, sunscreen, water and a nice hat are a must when enjoying the Colorado outdoors. Given the venue and different artistic interests of those attending, it is expected that people will be scattered around the park in smaller groups and possibly even working alone to capture that perfect composition. Be sure to stay on the paths and out of tall grass, and please do not block other visitors utilizing the trails and park space. Keep it clean and leave no trace, packing out what you bring in, including water and solvents. Art in the Park is weather dependent and subject to rescheduling. We will watch the weather and make any announcements about changes, so please keep an eye on the event as the date nears.
